Fat Dog Announce North American Tour

Last September via Domino, Fat Dog released their debut album, WOOF., hailed by Northern Transmissions as “a raw and moving industrial-influenced, dance-inducing and soul-enlivening album.” Known for their “chaotic” (Stereogum) and “snarling” (RANGE) live shows, Fat Dog continue on in support of the album with a September North American tour, including stops in many cities they have yet to play in support of WOOF. Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 9th at 10am local time, and will be available here. A complete list of dates is available below.

Fat Dog recently released a new remix of their “extra-dimensional pop song,” (Clash) “Peace Song” by TowerBlock1 aka Jimmy Cauty (The KLF and The Orb). Pulling out threads from the original including Joe Love’s refrain “When the war is over,” the children’s choir and isolated dog barks, TowerBlock1 twists them all into something more ominous and anarchic. He nods to rave culture, adding a jungle beat and police sirens before concluding with a sample referencing Elvis. The song’s accompanying video— directed and animated by Evan Lawday with 3-D modelling by Luka Davlianidze— sees characters from the original “Peace Song” video return for some breakdancing in the streets of South East London.
 
A 12” single of “Peace Song” and its accompanying TowerBlock1 remix will be released on August 15th and is available to pre-order here.
