Royal Trux launch new track Sometimes

Unearthed from the raw, unfettered sounds of two sold out dates on opposite ends of the US comes the new/ “live”/old song /new performance album that is yet another chapter in one of the best books out there. Yes, Royal Trux wrote that book and Platinum Tips + Ice Cream brings us the skilfully rendered Truxian addendum, piercing through the dim of calculated bullshit that permeates our eyes and ears on a daily basis reminding us that Royal Trux have done more to define the look, attitude and sound of rock & roll than their publicly recognized counterfeits.

Harkening back to the earliest days of Trux, “Sometimes” is Neil and Jennifer at their sludgiest; with Jennifer’s feral and commanding vox feeding off Neil’s rugged, unparalleled guitar tone. Blazed and heavy, the track bolsters Trux's wicked chemistry that remains potent and peerless. While other versions of “Sometimes” most certainly exist, Trux prove they continue to have the system on lock and again successfully reinvent their wheels—giving us the DEFINITIVE interpretation.
