Panda Bear shares new single, "playing the long game"
9th October 2019
Panda Bear, a.k.a. Noah Lennox, has returned with brand new music in the form of single “playing the long game” and its accompanying video, directed by Fernanda Pereira.
Following the Feb 2019 release of Buoys, the sixth studio album from Panda Bear, “playing the long game” is a standalone single that continues the collaboration between Lennox and producer Rusty Santos, and their ongoing interest in contemporary music production techniques. The track retains a deep layer of experimentation coursing through hyper-modern production, and an undercurrent of speaker-limit-pushing sub-bass low-end.
Lennox on “playing the long game” and its accompanying video: “We had a good time making this video across the river. Thanks to everyone involved to make it happen. The song is about a brief series of thoughts I had one morning about who I am, what I’m doing, and where I’m going. Hope you enjoy it and hope all’s well.”

Panda Bear Buoys
Album | 8th February 2019
The sixth album from Noah Lennox, aka Panda Bear, was co-produced and co-mixed by Rusty Santos. Animated by their ongoing interest in contemporary music production techniques, Buoys retains a deep layer of experimentation coursing through its hyper-modern production – a hallmark of Panda Bear releases that will feel intimately familiar to fans of Lennox’s decade-plus body of work.
