Hayden Thorpe shares new track "Earthly Needs"
20th May 2019
In the week leading up to the release of his debut solo album, Diviner, Hayden Thorpe has shared “Earthly Needs”.
The track lands on the eve of his solo piano performance at London’s Brilliant Corners, part of a series of intimate, RSVP-only Piano Room Sessions which include New York on June 4th, and Los Angeles on June 6th. Hayden will also be playing free in-store performances in the UK and New York—full dates and RSVP link below.
Diviner is a deeply emotional album: lyrically generous in its candid tone and self-awareness, the melodies resonant with sense memory. The album feels like a startling departure from Thorpe’s previous work with Wild Beasts, and also unlike anything else being made at the moment.
Hayden Thorpe’s debut solo album, Diviner, will be out on Friday, May 24th.
Previously released singles “Love Crimes” and the title track, “Diviner”, are out now.
