Avey Tare annonce son nouvel album '7s'

Avey Tare, le projet solo de Dave Portner d'Animal Collective, sortira son quatrième album 7s le 17 février via Domino. 7s a été enregistré avec le producteur Adam McDaniel (Angel Olsen, Archers of Loaf) au Drop of Sun Studios à Asheville, en Caroline du Nord, la ville natale de Portner, qui décrit l'album comme "un paysage surréaliste et rêveur".
Aujourd'hui, Avey Tare partage deux nouveaux titres extraits de 7s : "The Musical" et son clip réalisé par Ellie Thatcher, et "Hey Bog" accompagné d’un visualizer créé par Abby Portner.
Avey Tare sera en tournée en Amérique du Nord ce printemps. Elle débutera le 23 mars à Asheville et se terminera à Los Angeles le 13 mai. Retrouvez toutes les dates ci-dessous et les billets (mise en vente le 13.01 à 10h) ICI.

During the first week of Jan '21, Avey Tare began making regular drives to his friend Adam McDaniel’s Drop of Sun Studios in Asheville, NC to give guts and flesh and color to the skeletal demos he’d made at home the year prior. The plot for 7s, Avey’s fourth solo album, was set: trusting, intuitive, exploratory collaboration among friends, after a Winter without it.
These songs are like overstuffed jelly jars, cracking so that the sweetness oozes out into unexpected shapes. Still, the sweetness—that is, Avey’s compulsory hooks—remains at the center, the joy inside these Rorschach blots. If Animal Collective has forever been defined by its charming inscrutability, Avey surrenders to a new intimacy and candor with 7s.
